Solemn Celebration of the School Renovation in Staro Nagoricane Municipality

November 5th, 2013 was the day to celebrate altogether with directors, teachers, parents, students and representatives of EUCOM and USAID the refurbishments of the primary school Hristijan Todorovski-Karpos in Dragomance, Staro Nagoricane Municipality. The process of refurbishment, financially supported by the U.S. Government through the United States European Command (EUCOM), created a better learning environment for interethnic integration in education in the school.
“We at EUCOM and USAID recognize the importance of interethnic integration in public school education for the Republic of Macedonia so that your future leaders may grow up with common values and established friendships – friendships that will foster a cooperative and integrated society,“said Colonel Jeff Predmore, Defense Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in his addressing remarks.
After a plentiful amusing program prepared by the school teachers and students, followed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and informal gathering of the guests marking officially the completion of the renovation process in this school.
The school Hristijan Todorovski-Karpos continues to implement and organize various activities in the scope of the USAID Interethnic Integration in Education Project, establish partnerships with other schools and embed the concept of interethnic cooperation in the school programs and subjects.
