Trainings for Interethnic Integration in Education for the School Integration Teams from Phase 3

The trainings for interethnic integration in education for the School Integration Teams from Phase 3 began during the month of March, 2014. In this phase, 40 new municipalities and 183 secondary and primary schools from R. of Macedonia will be covered. Throughout the trainings, participants from several cities in Macedonia will have the opportunity to get to know each other, to acquire new knowledge on the topic of ethnic stereotypes and prejudices, as well as to hear the results from the 2013 baseline study regarding the interaction among students from different languages of instruction in the schools.

During the trainings, the cooperation between teachers from different languages of instruction was emphasized to serve as a factor for: advancing the interethnic integration in education, as well as the joint student activities (of students from different languages of instruction) through sections, sport activities, events and excursions. The focus of the project activities are the students, parents, teachers, administration and members of the school boards from the primary and secondary schools of these 40 municipalities. These trainings will be followed up by trainings in April with the School Integration Teams of municipalities which were not covered in March.
