Joint celebration on the occasion of the renovation in PS “Kuzman Sapkarev”

On 11 March 2015, a ceremony was held in the primary school “Kuzman Sapkarev” from Kisela Voda, which marked the completion of the renovation activities in this school that were implemented with the assistance of the USAID Interethnic Integration in Education Project. The renovation of the electrical installations was just another incentive for including students from this school in the numerous activities that promote interethnic integration.

Students and teachers, as well as the director of the partner school “Naim Fraseri” from Studenicani attended and participated in the event. After welcoming the representatives of EUCOM, the USAID Project and the Municipality of Kisela Voda and once the ceremony was over, the students presented the joint student activities that had already been started during their previous meetings. At the first workshop, the students created a logo which will represent the cooperation between the two schools. The activities at the second workshop were aimed at designing cohabitation posters and messages. On the maths workshop, the students from the host-school used the presence of their guests to learn something and in the end they proudly announced that they had learned how to count to ten in Albanian. In addition to the workshops, another interesting element was the presentation of the joint group of scouts from the two schools, who presented their skills to the guests.

No one remained indifferent to the cordial cooperation among the students. The atmosphere stirred the interest of all guests who watched the activities with great level of attention. In the end, they jointly headed towards the room where various specialties from the two regions were served. The students and the teachers have a clear plan for the future activities – their future meetings and activities have already been arranged and we wish them an even more successful cooperation in the future.
