How to provide effective and better information about the success stories and activities for interethnic integration in education?

slika 2How to communicate with different target groups, how to prepare effective public presentations, how to identify stereotypes and hate speech and avoid their use in schools and in public communication? These are only some of the topics included in the two workshops for members of the school integration teams, held in Skopje towards the end of August.

The cycle of workshops for planning effective interactive public presentations in the context of interethnic integration in education is implemented within the framework of USAID’s Interethnic Integration in Education Project. About ten workshops have been held so far, which were attended by representatives of the school integration teams from primary and secondary schools from all over the country.

Apart from the theoretical lectures, during the workshop, participants also worked on specific exercises for planning and preparation of brief statements and presentations aimed at a specific target audience. At the end of each workshop session, through role playing, the participants, divided into teams, debated and confronted opposing viewpoints on specific topics related to the interethnic integration in schools.
