“A Postcard from Ohrid“ – secondary school students with a play that captures the audience

DSC06667On November 13, 2014, students from the Municipal Secondary School “Sv. Kliment Ohridski” from Ohrid presented the final product from the creative workshops that were implemented in this school in the course of the past 6 months.  The play “A Postcard from Ohrid“, which was performed in several languages by students from different ethnic communities had its premiere in the hall of the Culture Center “Grigor Prlicev” whose seats were filled with the speed of light.

Students from all secondary schools in Ohrid, teachers, parents, representatives of the USAID Interethnic Integration in Education Project and representatives of the Municipality of Ohrid were enchanted by the play whose screenplay and complete direction are a product of the creative minds of the students from SS “Sv. Kliment Ohridski.” When the play ended, students celebrated with Ohrid-style gjomleze (local specialty made of layers of dough), much laugher and proud faces.

Once again, it was proven that students enjoy expressing their creativity jointly, regardless of the language they are speaking. They sent out a joint message from Ohrid:  The language of creativity is universal.
