Demonstration schools – where were we and what changed in the meantime?

In the course of the week, in four demonstration schools: PS “Brakja Miladinovci“ and ES „Bajram Sabani“ from Kumanovo, PS “Sande Sterjoski“ from Kicevo and SEOU “Gostivar” from Gostivar, presentations were held for promotion of the changes that occurred in these schools as a result of the numerous interventions made with the implementation of the multi-year activities in the schools within the USAID Interethnic Integration in Education Project. SIT representatives, teachers who implement activities, as well as teachers who were not directly included in the implementation of the IIE activities, had the opportunity to make a parallel in terms of the situation in the education relating to the interethnic relations prior to the start of the project and now, after several years of intensive application of the holistic approach for building good interethnic relations, which envisages working with all structures in the school through various activities, i.e. in other words, through provision of quantity and quality in the contacts between the different communities (students, teachers and parents).

The transformation into model schools may be best reflected with the messages prepared by the students from the secondary school of economics from Gostivar on the occassion of the upcoming holidays as presented on the photo.
