Signing a Memorandum of Understanding for the Renovation in PS “Goce Delcev”

DSC03814 (2)On June 5, 2014, the renovation activities in the Primary School “Goce Delcev” in the Municipality of Ilinden were initiatied with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding among the Primary School “Goce Delcev”, the Municipality of Ilinden and the USAID Interethnic Integration in Education Project (IIEP).

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the USAID Interethnic Integration in Education Project (IIEP) Chief of Party, Nebojsa Mojsoski, the Director of the Primary School “Goce Delcev”, Dushanka Krstevska and the Mayor of the Municipality of Ilinden, Zika Stojanovski. According to the signed MoU, the Municipality of Ilinden, the Primary School “Goce Delcev” and IIEP took the responsibility to replace the old windows in the hallways, to paint the facade and to repair the boiler in the boiler room.   1.030 students and 68 members of the school staff will benefit from these renovation activities

So far, as part of the IIEP activities, 22 schools were renovated in 2012 and 2013. Another 13 schools are planned to be renovated in 2014. This is the first MoU signed for school renovation in 2014 and 12 more MoU’s will be signed with schools and municipalities in which school renovation projects will be conducted during this year.
