An Integrated Performance on behalf of the Day of the Teacher

On behalf of the Day of the Teacher in Albanian language, March 7, the demonstration school HS Zdravko Cvetkovski in Skopje organized an integrated performance attended by students from all the ethnic communities represented in the school. The students performed in their native language. HS Zdravko Cvetkovski is one of the six demonstration schools which are part of the USAID Interethnic Integration in Education Project. For the first time, this school is organizing a performance carried out in several languages. Some of the acts during the performance involved songs, poetry and recitations. The event began with the address by the Director and the Deputy Director in the two languages of instruction, Macedonian and Albanian, which was followed by an integrated performance by the school choir of the song Gaudeamus Igitur in Latin language. The event followed with the reading of literary works, performance of songs by the school band, recitations and other acts which were performed in Macedonian, Albanian and Romani language. This type of activities gives students from different languages of instruction, the opportunity to get to know each other, to mingle and learn from each other. The event, which was attended by a large number of students, teachers and parents ended with a big party which marked the Day of the Teacher.
