Announcement for call for application for selection of schools to participate in the component Model schools in the Interethnic Integration in Education Project (IIEP), funded by USAID and implemented by Macedonian Civic Education Center in cooperation with Center for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution, May 22 to June 04, 2012

We are pleased to announce the start of the process of selecting schools that apply to become Model Schools within the Interethnic Integration in Education Project (IIEP) (www.pmio.mk) , in which primary and secondary schools from Republic of Macedonia are  eligible  to apply.  More information regarding the activities of the component Model Schools can be found here (summary of C3).

Interested schools may apply by :

  • Individual application submitted  by the primary school  or the secondary school which teach in two or three languages ,
  • individual application submitted  by the monolingual primary school ,or secondary school with a significant percent (over 20%) students from Roma community ,or
  • partnership application, submitted by two monolingual primary schools or two monolingual  secondary schools, from different  languages, located in the same or neighborhood municipalities .

To apply, interested schools should submit application which includes:

  1. Completed application form for selection of Model Schools
  2. Letter of statement  from the school principal for the motivation of the employees to participate in the project as a Model School
  3. Decision of the school board by which the application of the school is confirmed
  4. Decision of the parents` board for participation in the model schools
  5. Letter of support  from the municipality, filled by the mayor

The application form for selection of Model Schools with the annexes are available by clicking the appropriate mark of the application.

The application submission period will last until June 4, 2012 (by 16:00). Application form should be filled electronically and sent by email to saf@chrcr.org.mk.  Also, a printed version of the application should be sent by regular mail to the following address:

From the received applications based on a predetermined criteria , a choice for selection of Model Schools will be made within ten days from the last  day of application.The selection results will be published on the webpage : www.pmio.mk
