Advanced training for trainers – Interethnic Integration in Education for two-three language schools

An advanced training for the master trainers, which are being instructed on delivering trainings for interethnic integration in education for two-three language schools, was held within the component for Capacity Building of School Management and Teachers. The training took place in Skopje on the 4th and 5th of March, 2013.

The master trainers participated in practical activities that introduced them to the new approaches for improvement of the conditions and introducing changes in regards, to interethnic integration in education, in two-three language schools in the pilot municipalities.

The master trainers gained knowledge and competencies that they will transfer to the school integration teams from two-three language schools in the pilot municipalities, so that they can successfully implement the joint activities that will enable maximal interaction between students from all languages of instruction represented in the school. Emphasis was placed on successful practices from conducted excursions, clubs, events, sport activities and multicultural workshops.

In addition, the master trainers were introduced to strategies that they will offer to the school integration teams, in order to improve and introduce changes in the following areas of the school life, such as: collaboration between teachers through participation in joint trainings for professional development; participation of parents in joint planning of activities; and creating an atmosphere of interethnic integration in the school

The trained master trainers will transfer their knowledge to the school integration teams in 23 two-three language out of 58 in total primary and secondary schools  in the pilot municipalities Butel, Tetovo, Bitola and Strumica.
