Interethnic Integration in Education in Sv. Kiril i Metodij

Today the primary school Sv. Kiril i Metodij from Bitola was the host of the students and teachers from the primary school Zivko Brajkovski from Skopje where the languages of instruction are Macedonia and Albanian.  Several activities were conducted aimed at bringing together the various ethnic groups in the country.

Some of the students and the teachers at the primary school Zivko Brajkovski from the Skopje suburb Butel today were guests at the primary school Sv. Kiril i Metodij from Bitola, as part of the Interethnic Integration in Education Project.  The school in bilingual with classes in Macedonian and Albanian language of instruction, said Ms. Vesna Damcevska – Ilievska, Director of the primary school Zivko Brajkovski from Skopje.

These activities are joint activities of the schools and are performed throughout the entire year.  Today’s activities are a closure of this year’s projects, said Ms. Lile Bosevska, Director of the primary school Sv. Kiril i Metodij.

In addition to the activities that were implemented in the school from several areas, there was also a final joint activity involving all students – Games without Frontiers – where the students were hunting for treasures in our city and through game and play discovered interesting locations, landmarks, as well as historical and religious buildings.
